The APC Back-UPS BK500EI is a professional-grade 500VA/300W uninterruptible power supply designed to protect computers, office equipment, and home electronics from power outages, surges, and spikes. This tower-format UPS features four IEC C13 outlets with battery backup capability, plus integrated surge protection for telephone, fax, and modem lines (DSL compatible). The standby (offline) topology provides automatic transfer to battery power within 6-10 milliseconds during mains failure, ensuring seamless protection for your critical systems.
Equipped with a user-replaceable sealed lead-acid (VRLA) battery, the BK500EI delivers approximately 13.9 minutes of runtime at half load or 3.8 minutes at full load. The unit includes intelligent battery management with periodic self-testing, audible alarms for low battery and overload conditions, and an LED status display for quick power status verification. Comprehensive software management via USB connectivity (PowerChute Personal Edition) enables safe system shutdown and sophisticated power monitoring.
