The ICY BOX IB-M2HS-70 is a passive aluminium heatsink designed for M.2 2280 SSDs up to 80mm long. It effectively improves heat distribution, preventing thermal throttling during intensive workloads. Made from high-quality aluminium with included silicone thermal pads (thermal conductivity 1.5 W/mK, -20°C to 180°C operating range), it ensures efficient heat transfer from SSD to heatsink.
Installation is straightforward: apply the main blue thermal pad (70x20x1mm) on top of the M.2 SSD, then secure the low-profile 10mm heatsink. Optional white pads (60x20x1-1.5mm) available for adapters. Its compact dimensions (22x70x10mm) and flat design prevent interference with nearby components on motherboards or M.2 adapters. No tools required beyond what’s included; easy to remove for SSD upgrades.
