The Digitus Gigabit RJ-45 to SC Duplex media converter converts wire-based 1000Base-TX network signals into 1000Base-LX fiber optic signals. It offers a maximum range of up to 10 km. The wavelength for both sending and receiving is 1310 nm. As a standalone device with an external power supply, the Gigabit media converter RJ-45 to SC duplex does not need to be installed in a rack. Automatic cable detection, auto-detection of full and half duplex as well as diagnostic LEDs for status and activity monitoring are also available. The Gigabit media converter RJ-45 to SC duplex is suitable for 9/125 µm single-mode fiber optic cables.
