The GAL 12V/18V-80 Professional is a fast, practical dual-voltage charger for all 12V and 18V Bosch Professional batteries. With 8A charging current, an 18V 5.5 Ah battery can be fully charged in 46 minutes and a 12V 4.0 Ah battery can be fully charged in 37 minutes. The charger reduces downtime thanks to intelligent Active Air Cooling 3.0 by cooling the battery before, during and after charging. It features a practical bay-in-bay solution, offers a simple wall mount and two LED indicators that show the charging status. The included Bosch Expert high-performance batteries EXBA 18V-55 are lithium-ion batteries with a voltage of 18 volts and a capacity of 5.5 Ah. They deliver up to 2,000 watts of maximum power for demanding applications with an extremely compact design. They are based on advanced “tabless” cell technology, while conventional batteries have “multi-tab” cells that only use two tabs to conduct power. “Tabless” cell technology eliminates this bottleneck. Instead of just two current paths, it offers countless parallel current paths. The result: lower resistance, less heat, impressive performance and excellent energy density.
