The Bosch EXPERT EXAL18V-160 is an ultra-fast charger for all 18V batteries from Bosch and AMPShare partners. With 16A charging current, the EXBA18V-80 battery can be fully charged in just 39 minutes. The intelligent Active Air Cooling 2.0 cools the batteries efficiently, and FlexTemp Charging increases the charging temperature range of the EXPERT batteries to -10°C to +55°C. Both features reduce downtime by allowing warm batteries to begin charging more quickly, even after harsh use. FlexTemp Charging also enables cold batteries to be charged. The ultra-fast charger offers three charging modes: Standard, Power Boost and Long Life. The modes can be activated as needed via the charging mode button. Power Boost mode fully charges at the highest speed. Long Life mode ensures smoother full charging, which extends the life of the battery. The Bosch EXPERT high-performance battery EXBA18V-80 is a lithium-ion battery with a voltage of 18 volts and a capacity of 8.0 Ah. It delivers up to 2,400 watts of maximum power for demanding applications with an extremely compact design. It is based on advanced “tabless” cell technology, while conventional batteries have “multi-tab” cells that only use two tabs to conduct power. “Tabless” cell technology eliminates this bottleneck. Instead of just two current paths, it offers countless parallel current paths. The result: lower resistance, less heat, impressive performance and excellent energy density. With the new reinforced, robust housing, excellent thermal management through COOLPACK 2.0 and “Tabless” cell technology, the EXBA18V-80 offers an extremely long service life for professionals. The EXBA18V-80 has an extended charging temperature range from -10°C to +55°C battery temperature. It has a 5-LED display for charging status, remaining capacity and defect risk detection and weighs only 1.04kg. EXAL18V-160 charger and batteries are part of the AMPShare Alliance.
