The IcyDock MB994IPO-3SB is a dual-bay 2.5″ SATA/SAS backplane with an integrated slim ODD bay for installation in a 5.25″ drive bay. The Slim ODD tray uses an EZ-ODD full metal tray, which enables quick and easy changing using the included key or the side pusher. This allows system integrators to better respond to their customers’ requirements. The hard drive trays can accommodate 9.5 mm, 12.5 mm or 15 mm drives, giving the MB994IPO-3SB a versatile use. The housing is made of aluminum to withstand the most adverse conditions, providing optimal heat dissipation while saving as much weight as possible. Ventilation openings on the front and back ensure maximum airflow to keep the hard drives cool at all times, while LEDs on each drive bay inform the user of the drive status at all times. Due to its compact design, the MB994IPO-3SB is ideal for gaming PCs, HTPCs, compact cases with a few 5.25″ bays or when a slim ODD drive and additional hard drives are required.
