Duracell CR 2032 lithium coin cell batteries are made from high purity lithium with up to 70% longer lifespan (compared to the minimum average lifespan of 2032 lithium coin cells according to IEC standard testing). They are suitable for use in key fobs, small remote controls, scales, portable devices, sensors, medical devices (blood glucose meters, digital thermometers) and sports equipment (heart rate monitors, bicycle accessories). To ensure safety, Duracell has developed child-safe technology: a non-toxic, bitter-tasting, ring-shaped layer with Bitrex on the back of the battery to prevent babies and young children from swallowing the batteries. Duracell has also designed a child-resistant double blister packaging that cannot be opened by children without scissors.
