The GMS 120-27 Professional locator from Bosch is an intuitive scanner for searching for metals (ferrous and non-ferrous metals, e.g. reinforcing iron), wooden beams in drywalls and live cables (50 – 60Hz) in walls, ceilings and floors. It can locate objects up to a depth of 12cm, helping to avoid mishaps when drilling for carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning work. The user-friendly locator offers easy mode selection, and the marking hole allows you to mark exactly where objects have been located. If no object is found under the sensor area, the light ring lights up green and no sound is heard. When you approach, the light ring lights up red and the signal tone becomes faster. Above the center of an object, the object center indicators light up and a continuous tone sounds in addition to the red light ring. The locator not only determines the center of the located object, but also displays its material properties such as magnetic or non-magnetic metal, a live wire or non-metallic material such as wooden beams. The GMS 120-27 Professional tracking device is suitable for use indoors and outdoors, and thanks to the shock-absorbing rubber housing and dust and splash protection according to IP54, it can also be used on rough construction sites. With the Dual Power Source technology, operation is possible with a 10.8 volt, a 12 volt Li-ion battery or with standard alkaline batteries.
