The Zyxel USG FLEX 50H is a high-performance network security appliance designed for small to mid-sized businesses requiring enterprise-grade firewall protection. Part of the USG FLEX H series, this device delivers 2.0 Gbps SPI firewall throughput, 500 Mbps VPN throughput, and 600 Mbps UTM throughput with advanced multi-layered security powered by Zyxel’s AI cloud architecture. The appliance features 5 software-defined 1GbE ports that can be configured as WAN or LAN, supporting flexible network topologies with link aggregation and VLAN support for up to 8 interfaces.
Cloud management through the Nebula portal enables centralized security policy control, real-time monitoring, and SD-VPN orchestration without requiring internet connectivity for offline configuration and firmware updates. The device supports 20 IPsec VPN tunnels, 15 SSL VPN users, and 100,000 concurrent TCP sessions, making it suitable for organizations with up to 25 users. Security features include built-in IPS (1,000 Mbps throughput), anti-malware protection, web filtering, DNS/IP/URL reputation filtering, and optional sandboxing through the Gold Security Pack license. The compact fanless design includes optional PoE+ support (50HP variant) and operates reliably in temperatures from 0°C to 40°C.
